Once you have an executed contract, the attorney review period begins to run. It is important that you contact an attorney as soon as possible, as the standard attorney review period typically expires in five business days. During the attorney review period, Attorney Andrius Spokas will request certain terms of the contract to be modified in order to more adequately protect your interest. Mr. Spokas will also review the requests proposed by the buyer’s attorney and negotiate inspection related demands on your behalf.
After the expiration of the attorney review period, Mr. Spokas will order the title and survey and will prepare the deed, bill of sale, affidavit of title, and the closing statement. The closing will be scheduled with the title company after the buyer’s lender issues a final approval of the loan. At closing, Attorney Andrius Spokas will thoroughly review and explain each document and ensure that you understand all figures listed on the closing statement.
